Some of the judges of the New York State Unified Court System (apparently unified only in their talent for malconduct, misconduct, and quasi-corruption) should be sentenced themselves or have the dignity to step down. But American justice--especially the species currently alive and well and living in New York State-- is based on party politics, law-firm money, bias. Even judges who are censured that's the step before actual removal from the bench--are still allowed to pass judgment on others. Visit the Justice Hall of Fame and Shame.

This month we're featuring Judge Joseph C. Teresi, a New York State Supreme Court justice sitting on the 3rd District Court in Albany, New York.
New York judges accept campaign money law firms that appear regularly before them, accept political party support for re-election, regularly violate the standards of judicial conduct with impugnity, when caught they're censured but continue their travesties undeterred! They even attempt to mislead the oversight tribunal charged with disciplining them!
New York State Judges make a fraction of what a reasonably good attorney would make in private law business so we can only assume that the judiciary is a catchall for either lawyers on a power-trip or lawyers who wouldn't make it on the outside.
The truly frightening fact is that they are in the same bed with the lawyers and law firms that pay for their election campaigns and then appear before them. Aren't we asking too much of human nature to expect them to pee down the legs of the political parties that got them into and keep them in office and to turn their backs on their chums, the lawyers?
Despair of Justice in New York!
